Chanel for the Bay

Chanel (for the Bay) (2010) was an intervention at the Bay at the Pacific Centre in Vancouver. I used existing perfume samples from various Chanel perfume lines, each depicting the scent with an adjective attempting to describe a woman, such as alluring, dashing and daring and added photos of myself done in the mall’s photobooth. The photos were done after I sprayed myself with each of the scent, usually after work or a hard day, to see if it would make me feel alluring or dashing. The “new” samples were then placed back on the Chanel counter.
